Play back theatre is a spontaneous theatre created through a unique collaboration between performers and audience. It is an effective tool in educational and social settings. MACT initiated the Sterling play back theatre in 2000. MACT is also a member in International Playback Theatre Network
The sterling play back theatre conducts certified training program for NGOs, educational institutions and corporate. It is used for therapeutic and correctional purpose in psycho – social care.
Three levels of workshops are conducted and at each level, the participants have to undergo 2 days of training. The three levels are the introductory, intermediate and advanced course. Certificates are issued at the end of the advanced course.
The sterling play back theatre also conduct performances local events, global events, and other institutions as when required. Some of the key performances conducted were in Indian Council for child welfare, CMS children home, little drops, Chennai, Juvenille home , Chennai and open performances at Marina beach, Chennai.
