The children home was started in the year at Rajalipatti. This takes care of the children who are abandoned by their parents due to poverty. Initially was begun for the children who were affected because of eviction at porur, Chennai. Some of the families were left homeless and their parents had to leave their children behind in search of jobs to other places. Some of the children working in the brickilin, who needed care and support because of their inability of their parents, were also accommodated in the children’s home. These children are admitted in the regular school nearby and are provided with education, food and shelter.
These children also participate in the children activities conducted by MACT at Rajalipatti and also capacitated on various issues.
The staff are available to support the children in their studies and overall development. MACT also provides support counselling and support to their families for their responsibility to take care of their children.
