This programme aims at eliminating child labour through a positive role of enacting educational programmes for the child labourers. These schools are meant for the child labourers at the Brickkilns where their parents engaged as bonded labourers. These children are motivated to attend schools which are specially arranged for them to join the regular education. At present 3 INDUS child labour schools are functioning in our project area.

 Some Figures

For instance, nearly 699 children whose families were employed in brick kilns in Poonamallee Panchayat union were put in the child labour schools in 2005. Similarly, 172 children were admitted in the above schools during 2006 and the work is geared up in full swing to bring down the number of child labourers in the year 2007. This program is incorporated with the National Child Labour Project. The Program is supported by individuals and the like minded people.
